Good food for good studies

I strongly believe that food is a good “friend” of productive studies. Food for productive studies should be of quality. The reason for this is that good food makes us feel good so that we can study better and more productive while bad or low quality food can make us sick. I know how intensive students’ life is. Being sick is a “luxury” that students cannot afford. Therefore, in my opinion, we should take care of this aspect of our daily life.
This video shows Jeffrey Smith, a famous researcher who has been doing extensive research on GMOs (=genetically modified organisms=genetically engineered food). According to him, GM food may cause a number of diseases and affect our overall physical and mental health.
In Germany, France, Ukraine, South Korea and many other countries in the world, producers must write “nonGMO” on the package if the product does not contain any GMOs. This makes it easier for consumers to make informed choices. The situation is different in North America: producers are not required to mark their products as “GMO” or “nonGMO”. However, there is still a way to avoid GMOs in North America as well: according to the existing regulations, no GMOs are allowed in 100% organic food.
Finally, speaking about good studies, I found the following tips to be useful in my own student’s life: sufficient drinking of pure water, sufficient sleep, and rest/change of activities including physical activities (I did morning exercises, swimming, and walking). These factors are important and may contribute positively to studies and other activities. However, it is always necessary to consult a doctor on any issue that concern health and I am just a linguist.
